Staci Taustine has more than ten years of experience teaching and training youth and adults. Focusing on leadership development and social emotional learning, she has fostered incredible outcomes for some of Baltimore's most vulnerable youth and advanced the work of NYC’s highest level policy makers in the Department of Education. Through authenticity and commitment to helping others become their best selves she has since coached young professionals and organizations in fostering dialogue to elevate youth voices. Whether she is speaking to young people or adults she believes that the heart is uniquely human in that we all need the same thing--purpose. She believes in the power of community and the magic that can happen when you bring people together. This is her Purpose.
Staci comes to this work a survivor who is uniquely committed to surfacing strategies that will help folks achieve and thrive regardless of their struggle.Throughout her life she suffered the implications of low self-esteem and bullying due to obesity. All the while suffering silently with chronic pain related to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and Endometriosis. Despite having lost more than 100 pounds through the help of gastric bypass, her daily battle with her body felt like a losing one...until it actually was in June 2016. Staci spent a month in the hospital after a massive spontaneous perforation resulted in sepsis. She lived with a feeding tube for two months and spent the next year negotiating nerve damage and very limited capacity. Staci’s darkest days inspire her to help others find light in one another. Her story is as much a part of who she is as a person ...as it is in the kind of coach she is for others. She has the unique ability to understand what it feels like to have lost it all and fight her way back. Nothing stands between us and the tomorrow we dream of if we are willing to keep going….together.
